·         HIV Risk Assessment (HAECP) Core Group - Researched current methods for HIV Risk Assessment and

        Counseling for patients and worked on incorporating a didactic HIV training session into the UMKC School of

        Medicine curriculum (1997)

·         “Value Added Natural Products from Sunflower Heads” - Extracted, analyzed, and tested successfully a

        natural antioxidant (to extend shelf life) and dietary fiber (as a food additive to prevent cancer) from a byproduct
